Biological Activity

CH5132799 is a class I PI3K inhibitor targeting PI3Kα (IC50 0.014 μM), PI3Kγ (IC50 0.036 μM), PI3Kβ (IC50 0.12 μM), and PI3Kδ (IC50 0.5 μM). By suppressing the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, CH5132799 blocks downstream signaling cascades to inhibit cell proliferation. It demonstrates marked antitumor activity in cancer cell lines and tumor xenograft models harboring PIK3CA mutations. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
