CEP-33779 is a selective JAK2 inhibitor (IC50 1.8 nM) displaying over 40-fold selectivity against JAK1 and over 800-fold selectivity against TYK2. By targeting JAK2, it blocks the JAK/STAT signaling pathway through inhibition of STAT3 and STAT5 phosphorylation. This targeted inhibition suppresses downstream cytokine signaling, leading to reduced cell proliferation and diminished inflammatory phenotypes in preclinical models.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
