Cedirogant (ABBV- is an orally active inverse agonist of retinoic acid receptor-related orphan receptor gamma t (RORγt). By suppressing RORγt transcriptional activity, cedirogant downregulates T helper 17 (Th17) cell differentiation and inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, specifically interleukin-17 (IL-17). This disruption of the IL-/IL-17 signaling pathway attenuates Th17-mediated inflammatory cascades, rendering cedirogant useful in research on autoimmune and inflammatory skin disorders such as psoriasis. Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
