CCG-203971 is a small-molecule inhibitor of the Rho/MRTF/SRF pathway that inhibits Rho-mediated gene transcription with an IC50 ofin SRE.L reporter assays. By disrupting myocardin-related transcription factor (MRTF) activity, it suppresses downstream target gene expression, including alpha-smooth muscle actin. Consequently, CCG-203971 reduces myofibroblast activation, cell proliferation, and migration, leading to decreased extracellular matrix deposition and anti-fibrotic responses. [1]
