Biological Activity

Pulrodemstat (CC-90011) besylate is a potent, orally active lysine-specific demethylase-1 (LSD1) inhibitor. LSD1 targets histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4) demethylation to regulate gene transcription. Inhibition of LSD1 leads to increased H3K4 methylation, driving the reactivation of differentiation pathways and suppression of oncogenic gene expression programs. Consequently, target engagement results in suppressed cell proliferation and impaired tumor growth in LSD1-dependent cancer models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
