Biological Activity

CADD522 is a potent small-molecule inhibitor of runt-related transcription factor 2 (RUNX2) DNA binding that exhibits significant anticancer activity. By blocking the direct interaction between RUNX2 and its consensus DNA binding sequences, CADD522 suppresses RUNX2-mediated transcriptional activation and downstream oncogenic signaling pathways. Consequently, inhibition of RUNX2 by CADD522 reduces cancer cell proliferation, survival, invasion, and tumor growth in experimental cancer models.

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
