Biological Activity

CaCCinh-A01 is a small-molecule inhibitor of calcium-activated chloride channels (CaCC) with an IC50 of ~10 μM and functions as a TMEM16A blocker. By inhibiting CaCC conductance, CaCCinh-A01 prevents calcium-dependent chloride transport across apical epithelial membranes. This block of channel activity modulates transepithelial fluid secretion and downstream cellular signaling pathways, altering physiological responses in bronchial epithelial cells and vascular smooth muscle tissue. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
