Biological Activity

Cabozantinib hydrochloride is a multi-kinase inhibitor targeting VEGFR2, c-MET, KIT, RET, AXL, FLT3 (IC50 1, and Tie2. By disrupting receptor tyrosine kinase phosphorylation, it blocks downstream RAS/MAPK and PI3K/AKT signaling cascades. These actions lead to suppressed endothelial cell migration, attenuated tumor cell proliferation, and inhibited tumor angiogenesis and invasive metastasis. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
