C-DIM5 (DIM-C-pPhOCH3) is a synthetic agonist of the orphan nuclear receptor Nur77 (NR4A1). By binding to NR4A1, C-DIM5 activates downstream apoptotic pathways and transcriptional signaling, leading to reduced cell survival and the induction of apoptosis in RKO colon cancer cells. These actions demonstrate its function in modulating orphan nuclear receptor signaling to inhibit cancer cell growth and promote programmed cell death.

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
