BX517 is a potent and selective ATP-competitive inhibitor of PDK1 (IC50 =. By binding to the ATP binding pocket of PDK1, BX517 disrupts the PI3K/AKT signaling cascade and prevents the downstream phosphorylation and activation of AKT. Consequently, suppression of PDK1 kinase activity impairs downstream cellular proliferation, survival, and signaling dynamics in cancer research models. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
