BX-912 is a potent, ATP-competitive inhibitor of 3-phosphoinositide-dependent kinase-1 (PDK1) with an IC50 of. It blocks PDK1/AKT signaling pathways, thereby inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and soft agar colony formation in various cancer cell lines, such as MDA-MB-468 and PC-3. Furthermore, BX-912 induces cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase and promotes apoptosis in cancer cells. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
