Biological Activity
BRD7389 is a small-molecule inhibitor of RSK family kinases, demonstrating ICvalues offor RSK1,for RSK2, andfor RSKBy targeting pRSK signaling within the MAPK/ERK pathway, BRD7389 increases β-cell–specific gene expression in pancreatic islet cells. This inhibition suppresses α-cell identity while promoting phenotypic reprogramming toward functional insulin-secreting β-cell features. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
