Biological Activity

BMS-986482 is a cereblon (CRBN)-dependent molecular glue degrader that targets the zinc-finger transcription factors IKZF1, IKZF2, IKZF3, and IKZF4 for pan-IKZF degradation. By binding the CRBN E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, it promotes the polyubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of IKZF family proteins. This downstream depletion disrupts transcription factor activity, leading to suppression of cellular proliferation and enhanced anti-tumor phenotypes.[1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
