BIEGi-1 is a potent binary inhibitor targeting epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). It effectively blocks EGFR catalytic activity and disrupts EGFR-mediated downstream signaling, leading to the inhibition of mTORC1 pathway activation. Consequently, BIEGi-1 suppresses cellular proliferation and impairs cell survival in EGFR-mutant cancer models, demonstrating marked antiproliferative activity in PC9 and HCC827 cell lines. [1][2]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
