Betamipron is an inhibitor of renal organic anion transport that reduces the tubular accumulation of carbapenem antibiotics. Co-administration of betamipron with panipenem suppresses the cellular uptake of panipenem into renal tubular cells, thereby attenuating panipenem-induced renal cell injury and nephrotoxicity. By blocking renal tubular transport pathways, betamipron protects kidney tissue from antibiotic accumulation without interfering with systemic antibacterial efficacy. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
