Benidipine HCl is a synthetic dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits L-type, N-type, and T-type Ca2+ channels. By blocking voltage-gated calcium channels, it suppresses extracellular calcium influx to reduce vascular smooth muscle contraction and lower systemic arterial blood pressure. Furthermore, benidipine HCl prevents aldosterone-induced mineralocorticoid receptor activation, mediating downstream cardioprotective and anti-atherosclerotic phenotypes in cellular and animal models.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
