Biological Activity

BDTX-1535 is an orally active, highly selective, and irreversible epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitor targeting both classical and uncommon oncogenic EGFR mutations, including resistance variants like C797S and extracellular domain mutants such as EGFRvIII. By selectively binding to mutant EGFR active dimers while sparing wild-type EGFR, it suppresses downstream EGFR signaling pathways, leading to inhibited cell proliferation and suppressed tumor growth in non-small cell lung cancer and glioblastoma models. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
