Biological Activity
BCFTP is a potent and orally active selective positive allosteric modulator (PAM) of human Mas-related G-protein coupled receptor X1 (MrgprX1). By potentiating endogenous agonist signaling through MrgprX1, BCFTP selectively suppresses spinal C-fibre nociceptive signal transmission. This mechanistic action downstream of receptor activation effectively alleviates heat hyperalgesia and spontaneous neuropathic pain without inducing pruritogenic responses or analgesic tolerance. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
