Biological Activity
BAY 60-6583 is a selective agonist of the adenosine A2B receptor for human A2B), displaying low potency at A1 (> and A2A (> receptors. Activation of A2B receptor signaling increases cAMP production and regulates downstream inflammatory and cardiovascular response pathways. Through these mechanisms, BAY 60-6583 protects against myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury and modulates tissue inflammation. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
