Biological Activity

BAY 2416964 is a potent, orally active antagonist of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) with an IC50 of. By inhibiting AhR-mediated transcriptional signaling, this agent disrupts downstream immunosuppressive cascades and tumor cell survival pathways. AhR activation driven by tryptophan metabolites promotes immune evasion and tumor growth, making its targeted inhibition a promising strategy for the treatment of solid tumors. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
