Biological Activity

BAMB-4 (ITPKA-IN-C is a membrane-permeable small-molecule inhibitor targeting inositol-1,4,5-trisphosphate 3-kinase A (ITPKA). Pharmacological inhibition of ITPKA by BAMB-4 interferes with intracellular inositol phosphate signaling and impairs actin cytoskeleton remodeling. Downstream, this disruption of cytoskeletal reorganization decreases cancer cell motility, adhesion, and invasion, leading to reduced tumor cell migration and impaired metastatic dissemination. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
