Azilsartan (TAK-536) is an orally active angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptor antagonist with an IC50 of 2.6 nM. By blocking AT1 receptors, it inhibits angiotensin II-mediated activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), suppressing vascular smooth muscle contraction and cell proliferation. Consequently, azilsartan reduces systemic vascular resistance, dampens arterial blood pressure, and mitigates hypertensive cardiovascular damage in animal models.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
