Biological Activity

ATX968 is a potent and selective small-molecule inhibitor of the DHX9 RNA helicase. By targeting DHX9, it disrupts nuclear RNA helicase function and genomic stability pathways, leading to suppressed RNA processing and accumulation of lethal R-loops. This inhibition impairs cell proliferation and induces sustained tumor growth regression, particularly in microsatellite instability-high and mismatch repair-deficient colorectal cancer models.

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
