ATN-224 is an orally active inhibitor of Cu2+/Zn2+-superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1). By chelating copper and suppressing SOD1 activity, ATN-224 inhibits endothelial cell proliferation and migration, thereby disrupting pro-angiogenic signaling pathways. These downstream effects lead to the inhibition of tumor angiogenesis and suppression of tumor growth in models of advanced solid and hematologic malignancies. [1]
