Atglistatin is a selective inhibitor of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL) with an IC50 of 0.7 μM, exhibiting high selectivity over other metabolic lipases. By inhibiting ATGL-mediated lipolysis, Atglistatin reduces intracellular triglyceride hydrolysis and decreases non-esterified fatty acid release in adipocytes and non-adipose tissues. This inhibition attenuates lipid accumulation and mitigates high-fat diet-induced insulin resistance and hepatosteatosis.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
