Arecoline HBr is a muscarinic acetylcholine receptor agonist. It selectively activates muscarinic receptors to modulate cholinergic signaling pathways. Arecoline induces ADP-ribosylation of histones and chromatid relaxation in spleen and bone marrow cells, altering chromatin structure and transcriptional regulation. Additionally, its activation of muscarinic signaling regulates cellular proliferation, inflammatory responses, and cytoskeletal dynamics in various eukaryotic cell models.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
