Biological Activity

AQC is an amine-reactive fluorescent derivatization reagent used for amino acid or protein sequence analysis. It reacts rapidly with primary and secondary amino acids to yield stable, unsymmetrical urea derivatives that exhibit fluorescent properties with excitation at 250 nm and emission at 395 nm. This reaction facilitates high-performance liquid chromatography resolution and allows sensitive detection of amino acid hydrolysates at under-picomolar levels. [1]
