Ordering Information

Biological Activity

Angiotensin II human TFA is a primary bioactive peptide of the renin-angiotensin system that acts as an endogenous agonist at angiotensin II type 1 (AT1R) and type 2 (AT2R) receptors. Activation of these receptors regulates cardiovascular homeostasis and renal function by stimulating sympathetic activity and aldosterone secretion. Downstream signaling through redox-sensitive pathways promotes vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation, collagen synthesis, tissue fibrosis, and vasoconstriction. [1][2]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
