Biological Activity
AMXT-1501 is a polyamine transport system inhibitor that targets membrane phospholipids and disrupts cellular polyamine uptake. By blocking polyamine transport and disrupting intracellular polyamine homeostasis, AMXT-1501 downregulates polyamine-dependent metabolic pathways and capsular biosynthesis. Consequently, this compound suppresses microbial and cellular proliferation, exhibiting potent antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative multidrug-resistant pathogens. [1]
