Amfenac sodium monohydrate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with an acetic acid moiety that acts as a potent inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). By suppressing COX enzymatic activity, it blocks the biosynthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins from arachidonic acid, thereby disrupting downstream prostaglandin signaling pathways and suppressing tissue edema, vascular permeability, and inflammatory hyperalgesia.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
