Biological Activity
Alkynyl myristic acid is an alkyl chain-based PROTAC linker incorporating a terminal alkyne group. It facilitates copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reactions with azide-functionalized molecules to enable efficient bioorthogonal conjugation. This functionalized fatty acid linker is used in the synthesis of proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) that recruit E3 ubiquitin ligases to induce target protein degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome system.
