Setipiprant (ACT-129968) is a selective, orally available antagonist of the prostaglandin D2 receptor 2 (DP2, also known as CRTH2), displaying high selectivity over the DP1 receptor. By inhibiting DP2 activation, setipiprant blocks prostaglandin D2-mediated signaling pathways and inhibits the activation and migration of inflammatory cells, including eosinophils and Th2 lymphocytes. This targeted blockade modulates downstream allergic and inflammatory cellular phenotypes. [1]
