Ac2-26 is an annexin A1-mimetic peptide that acts as an agonist of formyl peptide receptor signaling. By activating formyl peptide receptors, it reduces neutrophil adhesion and emigration, promotes neutrophil detachment from activated endothelium, and accelerates mucosal epithelial wound repair. Furthermore, Ac2-26 downregulates AnxA1 expression and inhibits NF-κB and MAPK pathway activation, attenuating tissue inflammation. [1][2]
