Biological Activity

A2ti-1 is a selective, high-affinity inhibitor of the annexin A2/S100A10 heterotetramer (A2t) with an ICof. The compound specifically disrupts the protein-protein interaction between annexin A2 and S100A10, preventing heterotetramer complex assembly. This disruption impairs A2t-dependent non-canonical endocytic viral entry and intracellular trafficking, ultimately preventing human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) pseudovirion infection in epithelial host cells. FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
