A-1331852 is a potent and selective BCL-XL inhibitor with target binding affinities for BCL-XL (Ki <, Bcl-2 (Ki =, Bcl-W (Ki =, and MCL-1 (Ki =. By selectively inhibiting BCL-XL, it disrupts mitochondrial anti-apoptotic signaling, promoting pro-apoptotic protein activation and inducing cytochrome c release. This drives apoptotic cell death in BCL-XL-dependent tumor models, impairing cell survival and tumor growth. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
