Vecuronium bromide is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent that acts as a competitive antagonist of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) at the neuromuscular junction. By competitively inhibiting acetylcholine binding to postsynaptic nAChRs, it prevents ion channel opening and membrane depolarization, thereby inhibiting motor endplate potentials. This blockade disrupts neuromuscular transmission, leading to inhibition of skeletal muscle contraction and induction of reversible muscle relaxation. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
