Tenoxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and a reactive oxygen species scavenger that targets hydroxyl radicals and cyclooxygenase enzymes. By neutralizing hydroxyl radicals and inhibiting cyclooxygenase-mediated prostaglandin biosynthesis, tenoxicam suppresses inflammatory signalling pathways. These actions attenuate downstream inflammatory responses, reduce oxidative cellular damage, and inhibit the generation of pro-inflammatory mediators in cell-based disease models.
