Orteronel (TAK-700) is a selective, non-steroidal androgen biosynthesis inhibitor targeting human 17,20-lyase with >1000-fold selectivity over other cytochrome P450 enzymes, including 11-hydroxylase and CYP3A4. By suppressing 17,20-lyase activity, Orteronel blocks androgen biosynthesis in both testicular and adrenal tissues. This inhibition suppresses downstream androgen receptor pathway signaling, decreasing systemic testosterone levels and suppressing prostate cancer cell proliferation. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
