Sumatriptan Succinate is a selective serotonin 5-HT1B and 5-HT1D receptor agonist. By binding to these specific 5-HT1 receptor subtypes expressed on cranial blood vessels, the compound promotes vascular smooth muscle constriction and inhibits the presynaptic release of pro-inflammatory neuropeptides. This receptor-mediated activation effectively suppresses neurogenic inflammation and attenuates nociceptive signal transmission along the trigeminal nerve pathway. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
