STF-62247 is a selective small-molecule agent targeting von Hippel-Lindau (VHL)-deficient renal cell carcinoma (RCC) cells. It exhibits selective toxicity toward cells lacking functional VHL tumor suppressor activity compared to VHL-wild-type cells. Mechanistically, STF-62247 enhances the autophagy pathway, triggering autophagic cell death specifically in VHL-deficient renal carcinoma cells. Furthermore, STF-62247 treatment significantly inhibits tumor growth in VHL-deficient RCC xenograft mouse models in vivo. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
