SL-327 is a selective inhibitor of MEK1 (IC50 = and MEK2 (IC50 = that exhibits no activity toward ERK1, MKK3, or MKK4. By blocking the MAPK pathway, SL-327 inhibits hippocampal long-term potentiation in vitro. Furthermore, this blood-brain barrier-penetrant compound crosses into the central nervous system to impair fear conditioning and learning in rats while providing neuroprotection in mice. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
