Ordering Information

Biological Activity

PIK-294 is a potent, isoform-selective inhibitor of PI3Kδ (IC50 =, displaying high selectivity over PI3Kα (1000-fold), PI3Kβ (49-fold), and PI3Kγ (16-fold). By selectively inhibiting p110δ kinase activity, PIK-294 suppresses downstream AKT/mTOR signaling pathways. This selective inhibition disrupts leukocyte proliferation and immune cell signaling, serving as a key research tool for dissecting isoform-specific functions within the PI3K signaling network. [1]

FAQ
Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
  • Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
  • Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
  • For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
  • Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
