Nitrofural (Nitrofurazone) is a synthetic topical anti-infective agent that interacts directly with bacterial nitroreductases. Upon enzymatic reduction by nitroreductase, Nitrofural generates highly reactive nitro anion radical intermediates that induce severe oxidative stress, damage macromolecular components, and disrupt bacterial DNA replication. As a result, Nitrofural exhibits potent broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial pathogens.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
