Nisoldipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that selectively targets L-type Cav1.2 channels. By blocking transmembrane calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac cells, it inhibits intracellular calcium-dependent signaling pathways. This inhibition leads to vascular smooth muscle relaxation, vasodilation, and reduced peripheral resistance, thereby decreasing cardiac workload and improving coronary blood flow and myocardial oxygen supply. - Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
