TAE684 (NVP-TAE684) is a potent and selective ALK inhibitor that blocks the growth of ALK-dependent and ALCL-derived cell lines with IC50 values between 2 and 10 nM. Treatment suppresses the phosphorylation of NPM-ALK and downstream signaling targets, triggering cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. In vivo, TAE684 inhibits lymphomagenesis in ALK-positive ALCL models and promotes regression of established Karpas-299 lymphoma tumors. [1]

Q: Why does a DMSO stock precipitate in media/saline?
A: It is caused by unheated aqueous media (supersaturation), local solvent shock, or incorrect mixing sequence.
How to fix it?
- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
