GDC-0879 is a potent, selective, and orally bioavailable B-Raf inhibitor that targets the RAF/MEK/ERK signaling cascade. By selectively inhibiting B-Raf, GDC-0879 blocks downstream ERK phosphorylation, thereby disrupting oncogenic signal transduction. This inhibition suppresses cellular viability and induces apoptosis in BRAF V600E-mutant cancer cells, while demonstrating robust antitumor efficacy and pharmacodynamic inhibition in preclinical BRAF-mutant tumor xenograft models.
