Fenspiride HCl is a bronchodilator and anti-inflammatory agent that inhibits phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) and phosphodiesterase 3 (PDE3) in human isolated bronchi. By inhibiting phosphodiesterase activity, it suppresses airway smooth muscle contraction and reduces pro-inflammatory mediator release. Fenspiride also acts as an H1 histamine receptor antagonist, attenuating airway hyperresponsiveness and vascular permeability to alleviate respiratory inflammation.
