Etodolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent that acts as a cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor, demonstrating preferential selectivity for COX-2. By blocking COX activity, it inhibits the conversion of arachidonic acid into prostaglandins, thereby dampening downstream pro-inflammatory signaling pathways. Consequently, this suppression of prostaglandin synthesis leads to reduced pain, fever, and localized tissue inflammation in experimental cell and animal studies. [1]

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
