Doripenem Hydrate is a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic that targets penicillin-binding proteins to inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis. By binding to essential penicillin-binding proteins, particularly in Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, doripenem disrupts peptidoglycan cross-linking. This inhibition leads to cell wall loss, cell lysis, and bactericidal activity against diverse Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial pathogens.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
