Cinchonidine is a natural Cinchona alkaloid and stereoisomer of cinchonine that exhibits antimalarial activity against Plasmodium parasites. It disrupts parasite heme detoxification pathways by interfering with hemozoin formation, leading to toxic heme accumulation and parasitic cell death. In preclinical animal models, cinchonidine and its salt derivatives effectively clear parasitemia and significantly increase survival times, demonstrating potent in vivo antiparasitic efficacy.

- Preheat media/saline to 37°C.
- Mix rapidly (pipette/vortex) upon addition.
- For complex mixes, always add the aqueous phase last.
- Re-dissolve minor precipitates with a 37°C water bath and sonication (≤30 min).
Pre-aliquoted for Longevity: Solid-state aliquots offer significantly longer shelf life compared to stock solutions, ensuring maximum stability for every use.
